Swimming is not permitted unless there is a lifeguard on duty, so make sure to check for a lifeguard before getting in the water.

Showering before entering the pool is a must, as it helps keep the pool clean and is actually a Delaware State Board of Health regulation. This means removing deodorants, perfumes, and make-up before getting in the water.

Proper bathing attire is required, so leave the street clothes at home and bring your swimwear.

Gum, food, drinks, glass containers, smoking, and alcoholic beverages are not allowed in the pool area, so be sure to dispose of any trash and keep the area clean.

Running, pushing, dunking, and horseplay are not permitted at any time, so let's keep the pool a safe and respectful environment.

Here are some age-specific rules to keep in mind:

  • Children who wear a Personal Flotation Device (PFD) must have an adult in the water within arm's reach at all times.
  • Swimmers must be 16 years of age to utilize lap lanes unless otherwise instructed.
  • Lifeguards reserve the right to swim test anyone who wishes to use the deep end of the pool.

Remember, lifeguards are here for your safety and have the authority to remove anyone who is being uncooperative or unsafe from the pool area, so let's all be mindful of their instructions.
