Lion battery packs are designed to be highly efficient, with a high energy density that allows for a smaller footprint while still delivering a high level of power.

In fact, a lion battery pack can store up to 250Wh of energy per kilogram, making it a great option for applications where space is limited.

These packs are also highly customizable, with a range of options for different cell chemistries, voltage and current ratings, and more.

This flexibility makes lion battery packs a great choice for a wide range of applications, from small electronics to larger industrial equipment.

What You Need to Know

These batteries are not designed to sustain high loads, so keep any constant current draw under 1A.

The packs come with color-coded wires and a JST 2-pin cable attached for use with chargers, which is convenient and helps prevent snagging or getting stuck.

The protection circuitry keeps the battery voltage from going too high or low, but it's still very important to use a LiIon/LiPoly constant-voltage/constant-current charger to recharge them.

The batteries have a high quality JST-or-compatible connector, but be aware that the cables are rated for 2A, so keep that in mind if you use them.

Lithium-ion packs like these are designed to last more than 2,000 charge cycles, depending on the model, and may last as long as the system.

Description

This lithium-ion pack is made of 2 balanced 2200mAh cells for a total of 4400mA capacity. The cells are connected in parallel and spot-welded to a protection circuit that provides over-voltage, under-voltage, and over-current protection.

Each cell can provide 1A of current for about 4 hours, making the peak current you can draw a little over 1.5 Amps.

The packs come with color-coded wires, and a JST 2-pin cable attached for use with chargers. The cable is rated for 2A, so keep that in mind if you use it.

The included protection circuitry keeps the battery voltage from going too high (over-charging) or low (over-use), cutting out when completely dead at 2.5V.

Do not use a NiMH/NiCad/lead-acid charger, and never charge or use unattended.

If you can't find the right battery pack for your application, you can design and manufacture a custom battery solution with our help.

We offer scalable capacity options for our battery packs, ranging from 19.6 Ah to 900 Ah, depending on your specific needs.

Our custom battery solutions are designed to meet your requirements, whether you need a standard or proprietary solution.

What Is a BMS and Why Do I Need It?

A BMS (battery management system) is the brain of the battery and an integral component of all Inventus Power batteries.

It helps protect the battery from operating outside of safe conditions. This means it prevents overcharging, over-discharging, and extreme temperatures that can damage the battery.

A BMS communicates and collects data, which is essential for monitoring and maintaining your battery's performance. This data can be used to identify potential issues before they become major problems.

It optimizes battery performance by regulating the flow of energy and preventing power surges. This ensures your battery lasts longer and performs at its best.

Battery Performance and Safety

A lion battery pack's battery performance and safety are top-notch, thanks to its advanced BMS (Battery Management System) that prevents overcharging and overheating.

The lion battery pack's cells are designed to provide a long cycle life of up to 3000 cycles, with a depth of discharge of 80%, allowing for more efficient use of energy.

One of the key safety features of the lion battery pack is its built-in thermal management system, which helps to regulate the temperature of the cells and prevent overheating.

The lion battery pack's cells are also designed to be highly resistant to shock and vibration, making them ideal for use in harsh environments.

Safety

Safety is a top priority when it comes to battery performance.

Most modern batteries, including lithium-ion batteries, have built-in protections to prevent overcharging, which can cause a fire.

Overheating can also cause a battery to fail, so manufacturers often use thermal management systems to regulate temperature.

A well-designed battery management system can detect abnormalities and shut down the battery to prevent damage.

However, even with these safeguards, batteries can still be hazardous if not handled properly.
