Butylal concentrations in the area air sampling ranged from 0.0039–0.31 ppm, with the highest concentrations also measured in the area closest to the dry cleaning machine. Formaldehyde was detected in one full-shift personal sample at 0.0087 ppm, which is lower than the NIOSH recommended exposure limit of 0.016 ppm.
