Choosing the right ceramic pot fountain can be a bit overwhelming, especially with all the different styles and sizes available. Consider the space where the fountain will be placed and the overall aesthetic you want to achieve.
A ceramic pot fountain is a great addition to any outdoor or indoor space, but it requires regular maintenance to keep it looking its best. Make sure to place it in a spot that gets enough sunlight to prevent algae growth.
The type of ceramic material used in the pot can affect its durability and resistance to weather conditions. A high-quality ceramic material can withstand harsh weather conditions and last for many years.
To keep your ceramic pot fountain clean, simply remove any debris or leaves that have accumulated in the water. Regularly changing the water and cleaning the pot will help prevent the growth of algae and bacteria.

Cleaning and Maintenance
To keep your ceramic pot fountain looking its best, you'll need to clean and maintain it regularly.
Sealing the pot is a great way to prevent lime deposits from forming. We've found that using a thin opaque coat of roofing tar to the entire inside of the pot, up to the glaze, does the trick.
Cleaning the outside of the pot can be a bit of a challenge, but it's worth it to keep it looking nice. We've had good luck using XXXX grade steel wool dipped in boiling vinegar to remove those ugly white milky lime deposits.
To use this method, simply dip the steel wool in boiling vinegar and go over the outside glaze gently but firmly, keeping the steel wool very wet. Then, let the pot dry and repeat the process if necessary.
After cleaning, we like to coat the pot with a thin coat or two of butchers wax and buff it with towelling. This helps to protect the glaze and keep it looking shiny.

DIY Water Features
Building a DIY water feature is a great way to add some serenity to your outdoor space. You can create a one-of-a-kind pot fountain water feature in just a single weekend.
Most of the supplies you'll need can be found at a plumbing supply or hardware store, or a nursery that carries water garden supplies. This includes a waterproof basin, sturdy grating, and a pot of your choice.
The underground basin is a crucial component of your DIY water feature. It's where the water will collect and flow from, creating the soothing sound you're looking for.
With the right supplies and a bit of planning, you can create a beautiful and relaxing water feature in no time.
